Lilac hair

We’re seeing a return of the lilac dye for 2019. It’s set to be the biggest beauty trend of the year. As opposed to the 2016 trend of the smokey lilac look, 2019 will have the luminous lilac that comes from leaving the purple shampoo on a little bit longer.

Bold Lips

2018 was the year of the minimal makeup movement, where the more natural you looked, the better. Get ready for 2019, where you can wear as much makeup as you want. Pair your barely-there base with a bright, bold lips. Standout lip colours are available from popular brands such as Benefit makeup.

Powder Nails

We’ve all got a nail addiction, so be prepared to get obsessed with the powder dipping craze taking over 2019. Instead of using gel, powder has become a popular way of doing your nails. It means your manicure will last as long as a month without being damaged.

Glossy Makeup

If you’re addicted to matte makeup, you may want to look away. Gloss is back and it’s more shiny than ever. We’ll be ditching the matte lipsticks in 2019 and opting for lip gloss, even adding that extra bit of shimmer onto our skin, eyelids or anywhere else you’d like. Lash Lifts

If you’ve ever had a lash lift before, you will know that they can really turn your lashes into something special. Haven’t done it before? Take a chance on the natural lash lift that uses grapeseed oil and aloe vera, making for much cheaper alternatives to the lengthy traditional treatments.

Almond Nails

2019 is the year for almond-shaped nails. Coffin nails are dead and almond nails are in. There were so many nail shapes for 2018 that we’re sure this one won’t be around for long.

How many of these trends do you think you will try and love this year? Whilst purple hair and bold lips may not be your style, 2019 could be the year you try something new.
